Since moving to Devon we have been trying (in vain) to find a good dentist. Researched Dental Dimensions and popped in to see 'what was what'. The receptionist is superb (delightful whilst being professional) and spent a long time talking with us and reassuring me (the world's worst patient) that all will be fine. We even spoke to another patient who couldn't praise the practice enough. We have appointments in 5 weeks time so will report back.

Having just moved to Cornwall, I needed to find a new dentist. Found these guys after some review reading and went along. After 30 years of my old dentist, I cannot believe the difference. These guys really care! Having identified that I have periodontal problems they have taught me so much about how to help myself in dental hygiene, they are miles ahead of other dentist's. On top of this, they are well equipped with all the latest technology which they use to good effect. Take my advice and take Dental Dimension's advice, they know what they are doing.

I have used this medical centre for the past fourteen years.Apart from having difficulty twice in getting an appointment with a named GP,I have had no reason to criticise it at all.I have always been treated with respect and understanding.I feel that the attack on here against Dr.Janice Haddon is unjustified.In fact,I always try to see her first and have always been correctly diagnosed,treated like an adult and respected.Likewise with other staff I have met.

Super local resource. Superior levels of service. Friendly healthcare provided in my locale. The longest wait I have had is less than a quarter hour. The level of care promotes absolute confidence. Smug smiles all around I think... Are YOU still not living in Launceston..?? You are not - why not!!??

Shrine of an English Martyr. The son of William Mayne, Cuthbert Mayne was born at Youlston, near Barnstaple in Devon, and was baptized on 20th March 1543/4, "St Cuthbert's Day". His uncle was a priest who conformed to the Church of England, and the family expected the good natured, shallow Mayne would inherit his uncle's rich church. This uncle paid his way to Barnstaple Grammar School, and he was ordained a Protestant minister at the age of eighteen and instituted rector of Huntshaw, near Torrington. After ordination, Cuthbert Mayne attended university, first at St Alban Hall, then at St John's College, in Oxford, where he was made chaplain. He became B.A. on 6th April 1566 and M.A. on 8 April 1570. Cuthbert Mayne Whilst at Oxford, Cuthbert Mayne met Edmund Campion and other Catholics, such as Gregory Martin, Humphrey Ely, Henry Shaw, Thomas Bramston, Henry Holland, Jonas Meredith, Roland Russell, and William Wiggs. At some point Cuthbert Mayne, too, became a Catholic. Late in 1570, a letter addressed to him from Gregory Martin fell into the hands of the Bishop of London, and officers arrested him and the others mentioned in the letter. Being warned off by Thomas Ford, Mayne evaded arrest by going to Cornwall and then, in 1573, to the English College at Douai. Douai, in the department of Nord, France, is on the River Scarpe, some twenty miles south of Lille.

It has been a while since we were here and I took these photos, but my memories of the warm faith-filled community remain.

Helpful and friendly, still getting to know what they are doing but happy to chat and help out where they can with whatever they can. Access to is interesting, down a narrow country lane and almost in the middle of nowhere.

Nice, but pricey - certainly not in keeping with local prices. I suspect a Londoner has a hand in the creation of this quaint, warm eatery. Lovely modern decor, a good range of food on offer. Recommended

Set off road in Maunder's yard we sat with farmer customers and local ladies. Good selection of local sourced breakfast and home baked cakes. Gluten free choice was excellent and good coffee. Service is friendly but not fast as everything is prepared on site. Good food, not fast food. Popular with locals who appreciate the Cornish option to the nearby Costa.

Best place to eat in Launceston, staff are friendly, place is spotless.
